The opposition, with the exception of Citizens, has presented today a motion of censure in the City of Murcia to form an "honest government" once the statements of exconcejal Roque Ortiz brought to light the "clientelist practices, supposedly corrupt and the supposed buying votes in exchange for favors from the Popular Party. "
The spokespersons of PSOE, Now Murcia, Murcia Change and councilman Javier Trigueros have remarked that the practices collected in the audio "do not start or end with Roque Ortiz, but they do show what was already known."
In this sense, the thirteen signatory councilors, who outnumber those of the Popular Party, have recognized that the situation of exceptionality has served for their formations to reach agreements and agree on lines of government to put the interests of Murcia and Murcia before them and the democratic regeneration of political differences.
On Citizens, they have said that, in keeping with the Popular Party, "they will be responsible for the continuation of the supposedly corrupt practices."
"You can not advocate cleanliness, change in government and transparency and not go from words to events when the time calls for it," they concluded.
In addition, they recalled that Ciudadanos "betrays his own vocal companions, whom he sends to collaboration with the opposition in the neighborhood and district councils, which have shown that an alternative government is possible and protest because there are no investments that are not they belong to the Popular Party, but which they leave at a key moment ".
The opposition has explained that before the reform in 2011 of the Organic Law of General Electoral Regime this motion of censorship would have gone ahead by counting their formations with a simple majority against the Popular Party.
