Beniaján will be able to open a new multipurpose municipal center, with spaces planned for cultural, educational and social use, before the end of the year.
This will be the case if the accelerated pace of the works carried out for the construction of the building is maintained, whose works began on December 21, with an expected execution period of 12 months, although it is possible that they will finish in September approximately.
The mayor, José Ballesta, accompanied by councilors of the Government Team, visited the construction site this morning, which is currently in the phase of concreting the slab.
The building will be equipped with a library, an auditorium and dance classrooms and workshops, as well as a 24-hour operational study room and a budget of 1 million euros.
It consists of a single floor and stands on a municipal plot very close to the auditorium, with an area of 2,000 m2.
It has been structured in two independent areas, one for the library and another as a cultural center, and it will also have a shared area of common uses with an auditorium and dance hall.
The project, promoted by the councils of Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage and of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, was awarded to the UTE Beniaján Library.
