María Trinidad Herrero, as director of the University Institute of Research on Aging, has received the award in the Research modality of the EON Awards.
The expert in anatomy and embryology is also a principal researcher in the Clinical and Experimental Neuroscience group (NICE-IMIB).
Also, the College of Psychologists of the Region of Murcia has won in the same category and the award has been collected by psychologist Pilar Martín.
The association for Residencias de Pensionistas Ferroviarios (ARPF), founded in Madrid in 1931, has awarded the prizes.
It is a non-profit institution that has two centers for the elderly in San Juan and one in Águilas.
It currently has more than 12,000 members nationwide who pay a small fee each month to access the residences and make company to the more than 500 members who live in these centers.
In the category of media, the laureates have been the newspaper "La Opinión", the program "Golden Age" of Regional Wave and "Murcia en vivo" of 7RM.
The individual awards were for Juan Alfonso de Celestino, director of "Salud 21", Miguel Massotti, of Onda Regional, Eva Llovell of "Murcia Conecta" of 7RM.
The modality "A whole life" has been for Dolores Muñoz Esteban (resident of ARPF) and for Carlos Abellán Ruiz (partner of the ARPF and director of the National Museum of the Railroad).
The delivery was preceded by a visit to the facilities of the aquiline residence and continued with the act of recognition led by Miguel Massotti and Nazaret Navarro, professionals of Regional Wave and regional television, respectively.
The day ended with a fellowship meal.
