The III Harvest Festival brings on Saturday workshops, culinary tastings and awards to Aljucer (02/03/2018)

The third edition of the Huerta Week brings this Saturday the Harvest Festival in Aljucer, a day organized for users of the Leisure Gardens Network after having made "The Huertulias" (training and information talks).

This day of coexistence is created for all those who are interested in the agricultural activity of the Garden of Leisure, in which all the participants of the Gardens can provide the products obtained in the plots they grow to expose them and offer their experience to others .

There will also be a section in which users will show their culinary skills by providing dishes made with recipes of seasonal products that they grow.

In addition, the City of Murcia has provided for the award of three prizes: one to the most original and innovative prepared dish;

another to the most traditional, and a third, to the most complete basket, all with seasonal products grown in leisure gardens.

The prize will be a gift check valued at 100 euros.

More than 140 plots of Leisure Gardens in the Municipality

At present the municipality of Murcia has 144 plots for gardens of leisure, with a total area of â€‹â€‹15,361 m2, divided into 11 different areas, which are added to 41 school gardens, thus forming the Network of Leisure and School Gardens of the Municipality of Murcia.
