The Councilor for Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development, José Guillén, has held several working meetings with representatives of public administrations and companies to give a boost to the smart city project 'MurciaSmart'
The Councilor for the Modernization of Administration and Urban Development, José Guillén, visited the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, ​​the great world event of mobile telephony and the most important technological fair in the sector.
During the day has held various meetings with representatives of public administrations and companies in order to promote the project of smart city 'MiMurcia', which has received funding of 8 million euros, the largest in Spain, in competitive competition with more than a hundred cities, in the call of Red.es
Thus, he met with Francisco Javier García Vieira, Director of Digital Public Services of Red.es, to continue advancing, along with the University of Murcia, in the project.
The meeting also held meetings in order to study virtual reality solutions to improve personalized attention to Murcia under the prism 'a Murcia, a town hall' seeking to adapt the services provided by the administration to the needs of each citizen.
In addition, and thanks to public-private collaboration, Murcia is working on a pilot experience in secure communications for the environments of security bodies and progress has been made in the implementation of technological solutions in 5G and LTE environments.
Finally, there has also been progress in video analytics projects to provide technological solutions for the control of public roads that improve the aesthetics, functionality and urban quality of our streets.
The council also met with some of the Murcian companies present at the fair and that have provided leading technological solutions at the Fair and in the city of Barcelona, ​​such as the Neosistec company.
