The Councilor for Trade, Organization and Institutional Relations of the City of Murcia, Maruja Pelegrín, chaired this morning the meeting of the Local Council of Commerce in which the municipal groups and representatives of the different associations of merchants of the municipality have been present.
In this meeting the bases of the public announcement for the granting of subsidies directed to the economic activities of proximity in the surroundings of the works of the railway project of burial in its passage through Murcia have been studied.
In the first place, it has been decided to validate the inclusion in the scales of the territorial scope of the geographical area affected by the work, according to the La Asomada Observatory report, for granting aid.
In addition, the conditions to be included in the scale for granting subsidies have been established unanimously.
For this, three main aspects have been marked, such as accessibility, economic damage suffered and the correction of social imbalances.
The first of them will value the trade with accessibility measures for people with physical disability and / or reduced mobility or if the accesses are directly affected by the works.
In relation to the economic damages, the assistants to the Local Council of Commerce, have adopted the inclusion of criteria like the accredited descent of the sales.
Finally, with respect to those groups that are most disadvantaged, those businesses that request aid and with which the correction of social imbalances can be favored will be valued.
During the debate of the bases the contributions of the attending municipal groups, as well as the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia, the Technical Office of Accessibility of FAMDIF, the Association of Carmelite Merchants and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of the Municipality of Murcia were collected. .
Budget amount
The estimated amount earmarked for the first allocation of financial compensation will be 300,000 euros, with a first allocation of 150,000 euros.
This amount is subject to the municipal budget, which is currently in effect for 2017.
All the information and the adopted agreements are now transferred to the Trade Service so that the technicians of the Department begin the elaboration of some bases, which allow the merchants to request these aids when the term opens.
The next meeting of the Local Trade Council will be held on March 14, at which time the elaborated bases will be presented and the allocation documents will be outlined, as well as the individual amount of the subsidies.
