The spokesman of Citizens, Mario Gómez, will propose tomorrow, during the celebration of the Local Council of Commerce, the elaboration of a plan of promotion that foresees the development and commercial activation of the zone affected by the burial.
"It is the best time to plan and foresee, without improvisation and patches, the future commercial development of a space that is going to undergo a great urban transformation," he stressed.
Thinking in the future
In this sense, the orange spokesman will stress the need to carry out, in advance, this study of promotion and revitalization in the area, and that is carried out in parallel to the burial works, and with the participation of the dealers affected.
"A strategic plan designed in the medium and long term that establishes where we want to go and allows us to act - without patches or improvisations - taking into account the urban reorganization that will generate the burying of the roads in the affected area," he explained.
Arbitrary criteria
Regarding the draft of the call for subsidies for dealers affected by the burial works, the Cs spokesman has again described as "arbitrary" the distribution suggested by the local government that has set a global amount, in concept of aid, of 300,000 euros, with a maximum of 2,000 euros per trade.
According to Gómez, "these amounts should be guaranteed based on a rigorous analysis capable of establishing preliminary estimates;
and based on these objective data, more equitable percentages would be set for the distribution of compensation. "
Modernize our municipality
To conclude, the Cs spokesman has insisted that, in addition to implementing a less arbitrary aid system, the local government should plan the development and commercial improvement of this area with a view to tomorrow.
"If we really want to change and modernize our municipality, it is necessary to change the short-term way of thinking of successive governments and to bet on actions that generate added value for businesses in the area and offer solutions for the future."
