The Catholic University of Murcia began this morning the XVII International Conference of Charity and Volunteering with the celebration of the Eucharist.
The Vice Chancellor of University Extension, Antonio Alcaraz, said that "these days are organized with the purpose of involving students, not only the University, but international, by and for the development of the people."
Tomorrow will take place the 'Lit the Torch of Peace', where Olympic athletes will turn it on and start a solidarity march that will start at the Campus of Los Jerónimos and end at the San Buenaventura College (Capuchins) in Murcia.
In addition, the messages of students who have participated in the project 'Meet other peoples', in which Antonio Alcaraz stressed that "we are lucky that diplomatic delegations and students from different countries come to talk about their experiences."
José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, Alejandro Blanco, president of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) and Monsignor Segundo Tejado, undersecretary of the Dicastery for Service and Development, will participate in the acts.
