The Minister of Finance and Public Administration of the Region, Andrés Carrillo, stressed the importance of training during the conference offered at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Murcia, which analyzed, among other issues, the main challenges of your department.
These are, he said, the enhancement of human capital and the commitment to the digital transformation of the regional economy, underpinning and supporting the transformation that takes place in companies.
Carrillo referred to the evolution of the national macroeconomy, with twelve consecutive quarters of growth above three percent, which makes it one of the highest rises in the EU.
He also noted that non-energy exports in the region grew by 17 percent in 2017, and the contribution of exports in regional GDP went from representing 15.7 percent in 2009 to 35.62 percent in the year 2017.
Regarding the contribution of the regional government to the growth of the autonomous community, he highlighted investment in infrastructure, administrative simplification and the commitment to human capital as the engine of future development.
