The municipal plenary session has approved this morning unanimously, at the proposal of the Municipal People's Group with contributions from the Municipal Socialist Group, to urge the Government of Spain to "continue advancing in the achievement of an agreement with the representatives of the State Security Forces and Bodies , in which the balance between the rewards and the rights of each and every one of the agents of the State Security Forces and Bodies is guaranteed with the rest of the police forces with competences in Spain ".
Likewise, the City Council will ask the national government to carry out "the necessary study and, where appropriate, the approval of basic regulations that, without interfering with the powers of other administrations, prevent these imbalances that are now being corrected from occurring again. in the future "and that" in the next exercises raise salary equalization of police officers and civil guards with other budgetary the progressive police bodies in such a way that in 2020 the total equalization is reached, thus giving response to the unanimous demand that all Union organizations of the police and associations of the Civil Guard, are raising in unity of action ".
In addition, all municipal groups have asked the Government of Spain "to review the different salary supplements and adapt them to the social and geographical reality where they have an impact" and to increase "significantly the budgetary items in terms of infrastructures and material means along the next five years, keeping the amount constant so that the welfare, safety and quality of the work of police and civil guards is not affected by periods of economic crisis. "
The text also includes "urge the Government of Spain to increase the replacement rate of 150% in the next budget year and maintain the replacement rates in successive increments that allow the recovery of the workforce in the next five years", to " unify the amounts and criteria for assigning productivity in both state police bodies "and" increase the economic amounts allocated to social action in the Civil Guard, in order to avoid the discrimination that has occurred in this regard for years. "
This petition will be sent to the President of the Government of Spain, the Minister of the Interior of the Government of Spain, the Spokesmen of the Parliamentary Groups of the Congress and the Senate and the Governing Board of the FEMP.
As explained in the approved text, "currently the salary of the personnel of the State Security Forces and Corps presents differences with the rest of the police corps that operate in our country, differences that are absolutely unjustified."
"It is not fair that the agents of the State Security Forces receive a lower salary than the agents of other police forces, therefore the public authorities must pay special attention to the balance in the social and labor conditions of these collectives so fundamental in our Rule of Law, "adds the motion.
It is also recalled that "on January 16, the Minister of the Interior presided over meetings with representatives of the two bodies, first the National Police Council at the headquarters of the General Directorate and, subsequently, the Civil Guard Council in the headquarters of the Benemérita.
The Minister of the Interior presented a principle of agreement in which he offered a "complete, total and comprehensive comparison" with the regional police.
Thus "the implementation of homogeneous working conditions and similar social rights for all members of the State Security Forces and Bodies as well as the Autonomous Security Bodies and Local Police and a comparable remuneration among all of them, it is fundamental if we want society to have a more effective citizen security service ".
