The UCAM and MedicalScan are united in order to allow students of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing to improve their knowledge through the use of these scanners in the analysis of ultrasound, which will be implemented from the first course.
José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, and Francisco Martínez García, partner-director of MedicalScan, signed the agreement.
In the act were also present Santiago Domingo, manager of the company, and Jerónimo Lajara, dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
During the ceremony, Domingo explained the role of the scanner, which will make it possible for health students to use these ultrasounds in specialties such as podiatry, medicine or physiotherapy.
He also commented that "the UCAM is a university that has bet very strong for the world of health and sports medicine, we want to grow with them and we will be creating masters in podiatric ultrasound, physiotherapy and in different fields of medicine. health".
For his part, Jerónimo Lajara highlighted the benefit of this agreement for all degrees in this area: "Signing this agreement with a company specializing in ultrasound will help us promote the study of them in all grades, from the first year "
Lajara added that the study of ultrasound is the present and the future, and that students have to be prepared to address this issue.
