Murcia will be the scene, along with Cartagena, Alcantarilla, Molina de Segura, Santomera, Fortuna, Blanca and Ojós, of the realization of a macrosimulacro of earthquake, floods and chemical risk, organized by the Military Emergency Unit, which will take place from 23 to April 27 and in which more than 3,000 troops will participate.
The Mayor José Ballesta, accompanied by the Councilor for Traffic and Public Safety, Lola Sánchez, and the Councilor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Pérez, attended this morning at the Torrejón de Ardoz Air Base to the planning conference for the exercise of instruction and training 'Región de Murcia 2018' of the UME.
This combined joint exercise, which integrates units from different armies and has the participation of international units from other countries, will consist of a catastrophe simulation for the different administrations and agencies involved to work on the improvement and coordination of their different tasks to achieve greater effectiveness in his intervention.
