The Catholic University of Murcia responds to the new employment trends in the different sectors and therefore has taken the step of granting students who are highlighting as influential in their respective fields.
This is the case of Ángel Pérez (magoangelESP) who has more than 400,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and more than 120,000 followers on Twitter.
He is studying in the 3rd year of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication at the UCAM and becomes the first to be taught as such by a university in Spain. In particular, his channel is dedicated in large part to electronic sports so Angel has achieved the scholarship through the Chair of eSports of the Catholic University.
He is not the first in the sector of new technologies that obtains a scholarship of this type in the UCAM since Jaime Álvarez (Gravesen_1), champion of Spain of FIFA, became the first athlete of eSports scholarship by a University.
In his case he is studying 1st of the Degree in Computer Engineering and combines his studies and competitions thanks to the model of tutoring for athletes, just as happens with the Olympians of the UCAM.
