Huermur celebrates that finally BORM has been published today in the BIC of the Royal Salinas of Sangonera, as a place of ethnographic interest, for the public knowledge of its protection.
The conservationist association contributed to the procedure, initiated at the request of the Civil Guard, together with the petition for numerous documents relating to the historical values ​​of the area.
Huermur had repeatedly asked Culture for the need to formalize the opening, which had been produced by administrative silence, by publishing the announcement in the official gazette.
The Association for the Conservation of the Garden and the Heritage of Murcia (Huermur) celebrates the effective formalization of the initiation as an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) with the category of ethnographic place of interest, Salinas del Rey or Salinas Reales de Sangonera the Dry in Murcia.
Salinera interior facilities that form a unique historical set in the Region of Murcia, and whose first historical data date from the thirteenth century.
The file was initiated by the Civil Guard, and to which Huermur appeared, contributing to the numerous and diverse historical documentation procedure and referring to the values ​​of the area that BIC has now started.
Likewise, the Huermur association indicates that this inauguration brings us one step closer to these historic salinas of interior to its definitive declaration as BIC and its integral protection under the protection of the Cultural Heritage Law.
Something that will brake in the dry, they point out, the accelerated degradation to which this old traditional salt exploitation, of medieval origin, is exposed.
From Huermur point out that the Salinas Reales had already been initiated for administrative silence months ago, but Huermur has been insisting before the Directorate General of Cultural Property so that the initiation became fully effective through the corresponding publication in the Official Bulletin of the Region.
Now, the conservation organization after learning of the publication of the initiation, will continue working and making a follow-up of the processing of the file so that it ends correctly with the declaration of these important Murcia salinas as an Asset of Cultural Interest, and achieving that Murcia conserve due protection another part of its rich cultural heritage.
