Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, presented this morning before the members of the Board of Spokesmen of the City of Murcia the draft Universal Accessibility Plan, a document that is in a very advanced state of development, in the absence of the latest contributions from the municipal services and the Disability Board of the council.
A text that has had the proposals of the entities of the Disability, who received the Plan previously.
The Plan is structured into 10 strategic areas, around which are established more than 70 objectives and more than 200 actions, including both those that are in execution and the new proposals, for the period of validity that will be 2018-2019.
The strategic areas defined by the plan are:
- Awareness and Social Participation
- Traffic and Transportation
- Public use spaces
- Buildings
- Citizen Communication and Information
- Culture, Leisure and Accessible Tourism
- Sports and Health
- Education, Training and Employment
- Social services
- Action and Protection in Emergencies
The final document is expected to be available from March, at which time it will be presented to all municipal groups for their information and the procedures for its public exposure and final approval will be initiated.
