The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, today held a participatory meeting with neighbors of a dozen associations and groups of the High Age, district where the City just completed the works of a modern and large playground in the garden Joaquín García Cabezos.
The works that have been carried out have allowed to expand the existing children's leisure area within the central plaza of the district, "an itinerary that is the busiest for the families of Era Alta, who use it as a venue for parties and a place for celebration. of events and public activities. "
The action, which covers an area of ​​about 270 m2, has involved an investment of more than 45,000 euros by the Department of Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation.
This leisure circuit is adapted for children between 1 and 9 years old and has new children's games, integration with sensory stimuli and traditional games.
The performance has been integrated with the multipurpose sports track on the back, for children between 9 and 14 years old.
The new children's area has a special anti-impact floor, guaranteeing the well-being and safety of the little ones.
The City Council has also used an innovative system of shading in the new area of ​​stay consisting of microperforated fabrics on tensoestructura, which is combined with trees already existing in the garden.

During his visit, José Ballesta also visited the public school Santiago García Mendel and held a participatory breakfast at the Municipal Center Pedriñanes with a large group of residents and representatives of the associations and groups of the district, who transferred the mayor their proposals and ideas of improvement for the people.
