Murcia change will investigate the contracts that the City of Murcia has with the Interurban bus company, which operates under the name of Lycar, to see if it is complying with all the extremes included in the specifications, especially in what is refers to respect for labor standards and the rights of workers.
The municipal training has started this action after Lycar dismissed the driver and trade unionist Santos Valderrama, known as Kawide, for "exercising his trade union activity in defense of employee rights and the safety of service to passengers" since he does two and a half years was elected secretary of the works council.
The complaints of Kawide, explained the mayor Sergio Ramos, have led to the Inspection sanctioned the company for making fraudulent contracts, pay and quote less hours of work, breach the rules of prevention of labor risks and defaults, and violate systematically the hours of rest of the drivers. Ramos has indicated that the objective is to know if the situation of Kawide has extended to the rest of the workers of the contracts of Lycar and, in this sense, to demand the government team to act accordingly to avoid further violation of labor and salary rights. This issue has already led to the presentation, by Cambiemos Murcia, of a communication addressed to the councilor of the Treasury to request a copy of the contract file more important that the Consistory maintains with the company, relative to the transportation of schoolchildren of centers that participate in the programs "La ci
