The Socialist Group criticizes the Ballesta government for allowing public services to continue to be privatized while the Plenary approves the remunicipalization of other services, and highlights, once again, the claim by Emuasa to favor the interests of the company Hidrogea
The councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group, Enrique Ayuso, has denounced on Wednesday the privatization by Emuasa of the service of prioritizers, a service that is in charge of evaluating the seriousness of the breakdowns of the water network and that establishes the resolution priorities.
"While in the City of Murcia opposition groups have opted for the remunicipalization of public services that the PP has been privatizing in recent years, the Ballesta government allows Emuasa continue outsourcing services," said Ayuso, who has lamented that, in addition, again, "it is Hidrogea the beneficiary company since the privatization of the service of prioritizers could fall on Aquambiente, dependent company of Hidrogea".
In this sense, the Socialist councilor has insisted that "it is an essential service that must remain active, but that can continue to be provided through the workers of Emuasa, as has happened to date, without the need to privatize it. "
Ayuso has insisted that "in the Plenary session of May 2016 an initiative was approved to remunicipalize public services provided for the City of Murcia and in that line we must continue".
The councilor of the Socialist Group has demanded Ballesta "to investigate the intention of privatization of this service by Emuasa and put the cards on the table to prevent it from happening".
"Besides," he concluded, "we want to know why the interests of a company, Hidrogea, which is involved in serious judicial processes, some of them shared with the city council, continue to be favored.
