In this regard, he said that the 10 largest companies in the world have sales that equal the GDP of 50% of the less powerful countries.
Next, Pilar Megía presented the main lines of action of Aguas de Murcia in the field of CSR, putting the focus on environmental sustainability and the company's commitment to renewable energy and the effort made for the responsible management of a very scarce commodity, water, from the distribution of potable water, reducing network losses to the maximum, up to the purification and recycling of 100% of the wastewater generated in the municipality of Murcia.
To end the day, José Ramón García put the focus of CSR on the relationship with interest groups, starting with the internal (the workers of the company), betting on a management aimed at promoting the reconciliation of work and family life and flexibilizing work days and teleworking.
García also referred to the local public, trying to return to society part of the profits obtained by the company;
all this without forgetting the necessary commitment to environmental sustainability in each of the stages of the production process.
