José Ballesta informs that in the next Plenary session they will present a motion in which the Government of the nation is urged to guarantee the balance in the retributions and rights of the agents of the State Security Forces and Bodies, with the rest of the police.
For this, "we wanted to have input and comments from unions and associations of National Police and Civil Guard in the region," said the mayor after meeting with their representatives
The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Traffic, Security and Citizen Protection, Lola Sánchez, met today with representatives of the Unified Police Union, the Spanish Confederation of Police, the Professional Union of Police, Federal Police Union , the Unified Association of Civil Guards, to address the issue of wage equalization.
The mayor informed that "we are going to present a motion in this next Plenary of February in which we urge the Government of the nation to guarantee the balance in the retributions and rights of each and every one of the agents of the Forces and Bodies of Security of the State, with the rest of police bodies with competences in Spain ".
"For this," continued José Ballesta, "we wanted to count on the contributions and comments of the unions and National Police and Civil Guard associations in the region, and we want the group of municipal groups of the Corporation to adhere to this motion."
The unions and associations of National Police and Civil Guard have valued the cost of this salary equalization around the 1,500 million euros in the next three years.
In the motion the Government is urged to approve the basic rules that, without interfering in the competences of other Administrations, prevent this imbalance -which it is now being corrected- from happening again in the future.
Finally, it is also agreed to transfer this motion to the President of the Government of Spain, to the Minister of the Interior, to the spokesmen of the parliamentary groups in the Congress and the Senate and to the Governing Board of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP ).
