The councilman of Cambiemos Murcia Sergio Ramos today accused the government team of paralyzing voluntarily the process for the inclusion of social and environmental clauses in public procurement of the City Council.
Ramos explained that the councilor of the Treasury opened in March of last year a period of 15 days to present allegations to the draft instruction proposed by the Consistory and, since then, "there is no information about it" or the document has been definitively approved.
"The associations that made contributions did not receive an answer, and the process has been paralyzed for ten months," said the mayor of the municipal training, who recalled that the "block" to the inclusion of this type of clauses demonstrates the "null will" PP for extending democratic methodologies in the administration. Municipal training has informed that the function of these clauses is to ensure the execution in public procurement of principles such as equality, reconciliation of work and family life, stable employment through the subrogation of workers and respect for the environment.
"All this in the face of the current and perverse contracting system, which generates very significant drops in the prices offered by companies in the municipal contracting processes, prioritizing the cost of the service instead of the quality and the conditions thereof."
Ramos reminded us that Cambiemos Murcia submitted a motion to the Plenary of October 2015 for the assumption of these clauses, but finally withdrew it upon confirmation, by the Government team, that they were going to begin the proceedings in that regard.
However now, a little more than a year after the end of the legislature, the City Council has not launched the initiative "that sold so much," letting you see that their policies "move for the posture, without any fund" to ensure measures that help to promote the maintenance of work in decent conditions.
