The Governing Board has given its approval to the regulatory bases of the call for grants of 2018 grants for the promotion of citizen participation in the municipality of Murcia.
In this way, existing associations in different neighborhoods and districts can access a total of 270,000 euros.
Thus, the municipal boards of districts that have determined to grant subsidies to their associations during the current financial year 2018 are Algezares, Aljucer, Alquerías, Cabezo de Torres, Guadalupe, Javalí Viejo, Nonduermas, El Palmar, Bacons Bridge, El Puntal, Los Ramos, Sangonera la Seca, Santo Angel, Zarandona and Espinardo, while the districts are Santa Maria de Gracia-San Antonio, La Flota-Vistalegre, Center-West, Center-East, El Carmen and Infante
The objective of this call is to grant aid to entities and associations without spirit of profit with the purpose of continuing advancing in the strengthening of the associative movement, in order to favor the development of those tasks and activities that contribute to the development of the municipal boards.
The Department of Modernization of the Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, directed by José Guillén, by extending the budgets of the municipal councils last year, has made these grants are convened before ever in the history of the municipality.
Thus, this year the call for proposals has been three months since in 2015 they were convened in October, while in 2016 it was in May.
In this way, activities aimed at the group of citizens and the empowerment of their associations, cultural activities, tourism, celebrations, sports, education, youth, health, environment, cooperation, consumption, social services, etc., can be subsidized. others, the operation and maintenance expenses of the association itself, as well as small repair works that do not involve an increase in the assets of the association and activities that complement the performance of the City Council and its Citizen Participation bodies.
Associations and non-profit organizations that meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries:
- Have their headquarters, registered office or that develop their activity in the territorial scope of the Municipal Boards, both of District and of Pedanías.
- That they have justified the subsidies of previous years, granted by the City of Murcia.
- Not to be beneficiaries of any help or economic contribution from another council of the City of Murcia or dependent body, for the activity for which this grant is requested;
not be granted by this City Council more than one annual subsidy for natural or legal person, except for concepts other than the activity to subsidize.
- Do not have debts with the City of Murcia.
- Be up to date in the fulfillment of their tax obligations and in front of the Social Security according to current legislation.
