Llano de Brujas will have Juan Manuel Piñero Marín as Mask of Honor, Miguel Ãngel Marín and Cristina Brao as Adult Musos in their Carnivals (09/02/2018)

The councilors of the City of Murcia Rebeca Pérez, Maruja Pelegrín and José Guillén, presented this morning the calendar of activities that Llano de Brujas has prepared for the celebration of Carnival 2018, which the district will host from 9 to 18 February.

"The hamlet is prepared to live intensely the carnival and from today its streets will be dressed in sequins, feathers and glitter to enjoy ten magical days," stressed the Councilor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Pérez, who was Carnival Mask .

This edition will feature Juan Manuel Piñero Marín as Mask of Honor, to which Miguel Ángel Marín, as Adult Muso, Cristina Brao, as Musa Adulta and the young Álvaro and Ana Luz as children's muses add themselves.

"A Carnival that Bewitches", is the slogan that has been chosen on this occasion to represent the magic of the Carnival of this hamlet, a party that chooses to be declared of Regional Tourist Interest and that has 180 years of history.

On the 10th it will be the Gala of the Beginning of Carnival with the Proclamation by Don Francisco Martínez-Campos, Director of Radio and Autonomic Television of the Region of Murcia.

The Second Edition of the Arenas Bruja's Run, will be held on February 11 with a participation of about 2,000 people, with a tour full of music, fun and lots of color.

But the district will also have another parade on Friday 16, the so-called Parade of the Mascot, an activity that will serve as a tribute to the Sala Witch, mascot of the Carnival, which will be grass of the flames at the end of the holidays.

The Great Parade of Piñata, which is as it is called in the locality, will be celebrated next February 18th.

For this, the Carnival Association has prepared the longest and most international parade in its history.

Up to 40 troupes and shows will parade through the streets of the town in its particular 'Sambodromo' turning Llano de Brujas into a cheerful algaravia.

Comparsas coming from Ecuador, Senegal and Brazil, and also from different points of the Region as Mula, or the districts of Tocinos Bridge, El Puntal, Beniaján, Javalí Viejo or La Ñora, will join the local comparsas to form a great parade at that will be joined by batucadas, floats, live singers, children's shows and, of course, the Muses and Muses of Carnival.
