The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, today held a participatory meeting with neighbors of about twenty associations and groups of Sangonera la Seca, district where the City is undertaking the second phase of the expansion works of the Avenida de la Constitución, the boulevard that structures the center of the district.
The works that are being executed give continuity to the existing promenade, extending the route on foot and the areas of stay with new spaces of shade, urban furniture and gardening;
an action that covers an area of ​​about 1,000 m2 and in which the Department of Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation has invested more than 60,000 euros.
In addition to the central promenade, some beds are being installed similar to those already existing with washingtonian palms and shrubs, respecting the design of "this route that is the most traveled by the families of Sangonera la Seca and that gives access to the festival grounds and the main children's area of ​​the town, "said José Ballesta, who said that" the work is progressing at a good pace and is expected to end this March. "
The City Council will also install lighting and use an innovative system of shading in the new area of ​​stay consisting of microperforated fabrics on tensoestructura of metal pillars.
