The Mercamurcia facilities have completed the first phase of the installation of Optical Fiber in the Food Unit and throughout this year it will connect 100% of the companies.
This installation is aligned with the fulfillment of its Strategic Plan of the recently approved company, which aims, among others, to turn MERCAMURCIA into a specialized Food Logistics Distribution Center, providing quality added value services to customers.
That is why communications and the use of cutting-edge technologies have great strategic value to have digital management as innovative and efficient as possible in order to compete in this sector as demanding as that of food.
With an investment of € 50,000, Telefónica is executing the start-up of the service that will provide coverage to the 150 companies located in the Logistics Center and that encompasses the Meat Complex, the Fruit, Fish and Flower Markets and the Complementary Activities Zone, among others.
The action involves the wiring of the 300,000 m² extension that MERCAMURCIA has and will allow this complex to be the first large market of its characteristics to complete the fiber optic installation.
