The spokesman of the municipal group of Cambiemos Murcia, Nacho Tornel, will take to the Plenary tomorrow a motion for the City Council to urge the Autonomous Community to draft a project to renovate the drinking water pipes of the public school Ciudad de La Paz, in El Palmar, and that both administrations carry out the works.
Tornel explained that the pipes of the educational center, built 40 years ago, are in a state of "remarkable and evident" deterioration, which calls into question the convenience of maintaining access to fountains and faucets by students. before the risk of contamination of the water by oxidation of the pipes.
The mayor recalled that the government team has failed to comply with the motion presented at the municipal council of El Palmar by which it was agreed that the works were included in the program of reforms for the summer of 2017 of the City Council.
"It is regrettable that a fact of this nature has not had so far response by the Department of Education," Tornel insisted, who will remind the municipal government tomorrow the urgent need to carry out reforms because of the obvious risk involved in the state of school pipes.
