The councilman of Cambiemos Murcia Sergio Ramos announced today at a press conference that his training is studying against the Popular Party to understand that it is the "main beneficiary" of "allegedly corrupt practices" that arise from the assertion of Roque Ortiz, responsible of Development in the City Council of the capital, in a meeting with members of that party last December.
In a press conference, Ramos has indicated that Murcia Change has been in contact with the Anti-corruption Prosecutor of the Region of Murcia to act ex officio in the case.
Failure to do so, "we value complaining" against the Popular Party "at least" for an electoral crime, since it could go "doped", that is, having benefited from irregular practices in the municipal boards, the latest electoral calls.
Thus, Ramos believes that the seriousness of the facts goes beyond the person of Roque Ortiz, who allegedly acted as "perpetrator of the crime" and in whose statements are observed "many irregularities", and extends to the PP as "beneficiary" of These "systematic practices" are also detected in other cases of alleged corruption, among which the Umbra case has been cited.
As an example, he made reference to the part that is heard in the audio to the councilor of Finance, Eduardo Martínez Oliva, who relates the investments in neighborhoods and districts of the municipality within the framework of the Extraordinary Plan endowed with twelve million euros.
A plan, has been held by the mayor of Cambiemos Murcia, which includes projects "that have not been decided or debated within the municipal boards or the City Council."
"There is a clear use of the Consistory to benefit some districts on others, a marketing of the needs of the meetings," said Ramos, who has claimed in this regard that all investments are paralyzed until a public tender is held "transparent", under "clear criteria and objectives", to avoid the "PP game for electoral purposes" in the boards and districts of the municipality. Alternative budgets
For municipal training, the situation is "unsustainable" and there is no excuse for any opposition group to support the budgets prepared for 2018 by the government team.
"The opposition should not negotiate with a PP tainted with alleged corruption," added Ramos, after calling for a "serious debate" in which the proposals of the groups are studied independently, and not jointly, as occurred with the almost 50 Amendments of Cambiemos Murcia in the accounts of 2017.
In this regard, he explained that the logical thing in this case would be that the municipal groups, outside the PP, would consider promoting alternative budgets that would respond to the needs of citizens.
Asked about what awaits next Thursday's House, Ramos has stressed that "you can not function as if nothing had happened" and that opposition groups have to maintain a position of reprobation towards Ortiz and the rest of the municipal government team that culminates in the presentation of an "essential" motion of censorship to end PP policies in Murcia.
