This 2018 opens the fire Menchu Gutiérrez, novelist, essayist and poet, as well as collaborator in multidisciplinary projects with designers and photographers.
Some of his literary works, such as his novel "Dissection of a Storm", have been taken to the cinema.
Next Thursday, January 25, at 7 pm, will present in the Librería Colette Letras y tragos (Calle Cánovas del Castillo) his latest work, "Seven steps later", edited by Siruela.
The author's presentation will be by Isabelle García Molina.
"Seven Steps Later" is a work halfway between essay and literary creation, in which he discusses how poetry has treated the essence of time, from the heartbeat or the ringing of the bell, to the days of the week, the seasons or the calendars.
Relying on the voices of writers and their own ideas, the author shows us a timeless and lyrical inventory of times.
The critic Antonio J. Ubero has said of this book: "This is an unclassifiable work because it is poetry, it is prose, it is essay and it is a serene look towards our reality as subjects of chronos".
The cycle is organized by the Area of Debate, Thought and Social Commitment of the UMU, directed by María Cristina Guirao Mirón.
