Cambiemos Murcia propose in the Plenary next Thursday that the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports sign a collaboration agreement with the Salzillo Museum to contribute to the financing of the institution "in order to face the precarious situation in which it is" .
Councilman Nacho Tornel today held a meeting with the director of the museum, Mª Teresa Marín Torres, to present the initiative, which includes the State recognizing the ownership of museum pieces and part of the building and the building land.
The meeting was also attended by the deputy of Unidos Podemos, Javier Sánchez Serna, and the coordinator of the Culture group of the municipalist formation, Mercedes Nicolás.
The first, will raise to the Ministry "a series of questions about whether it considers that it should be in the board, to be the owner of the land and funds, and therefore on whether it should also be responsible for the state in which the Museum is located."
As explained by Mercedes Nicolás, the municipal training initiative "aims to deepen the work that began Murcia Change in 2016 by proposing the implementation of an agreement between the Consistory and the Museum."
"At the moment, as a result of the motion, and as the director has commented, the contribution of the City Council to the entity has increased," he concluded.
