NOW MURCIA calls for the resignation of Mayor Ballesta, "knowledgeable and consenting to the practices of the mayor Roque Ortiz at the head of the Department of Development."
Alicia Morales points out that in the "scandalous" confessions of Ortiz on the contracts of the City Council and on the distribution of public funds to pedáneos, "the mayor was sitting by his side and kept an accomplice silence before what was a full-fledged public confession of the 'modus operandi' of the PP in the City of Murcia ".
For this reason, the spokeswoman for Ahora Murcia demands political responsibilities from Ballesta and Roque Ortiz, and announces that it will take Ortiz's statements to the Prosecutor's Office to investigate whether his words and the actions he recognizes are constituting crimes of influence peddling, misappropriation of public funds, bribery, coercion and threats.
The municipal training also requests the creation of a commission of inquiry within the City Council.
The councilor points out that these practices "could be described as mafia, in its substance and form, and only seek to ensure continuity in the power of Ballesta and theirs through clientelist networks and using public services and resources
Morales points out that what has come to light "is just the tip of the iceberg of practices that we have been denouncing from Murcia since our arrival at the City Council, and that the PP itself now recognizes as a practice in the municipality."
It is a way of operating, presumably, "using public resources through outsourcing and contracting of the City to create and maintain clientelist networks, grant favors and consolidate the PP of Ballesta in power." As we have always denounced, outsourcing that the PP has been doing lustros in the City of Murcia are the fertile ground for corruption.
"The public confession of Ortiz," he adds, "assuring the PP masters: 'I'm going to spend money without making public announcement' is a way of acting as a cacique, as well as a veiled form of coercion and the attempt to obtain votes for the favors given and the contracts awarded. "

In this sense, Alicia Morales raises "the evident need to thoroughly investigate outsourcing, public money management works and Urbamusa company, which involve investments of millions of euros."
The spokeswoman for Murcia now ensures that "the municipality and the region are fed up with the irregular practices of the PP" and is convinced that "Murcia and Murcia do not deserve these rulers."
