The Campus of the Jerónimos has welcomed this morning the talk-colloquium on 'New infrastructures for the Region', by the Minister of Presidency and Development, Pedro Rivera, organized by the Degree in Civil Engineering and which has brought together teachers and students of this degree, as well as Architecture, Road Engineering and Building Engineering.

The counselor has shelled out the forecasts for the execution of works and commissioning of the main infrastructures such as the airport, the AVE, the 'bancal' highway, etc.

highlighting that the ultimate goal is not the completion of the works, but the important benefits that will generate our economy.

He wanted to transmit confidence and enthusiasm to the professors and students, future professionals of the sector, assuring them that this year will be "fantastic for the Region in terms of infrastructures".

Manuel Jódar, dean of the Official College of Civil Engineers, Channels and Ports, said that "it is important to start all infrastructures because it means work for our sector, for its professionals".

For his part, Pedro de los Santos, director of the Degree in Civil Engineering, said that "we are tremendously excited, from the University and from the point of view of the collegiate, because the sector this year has an important boom and that the projects ", adding value to the collaboration that the students of the Polytechnic School of the UCAM are maintaining with professional associations and other universities.
