The districts of the Campo de Murcia are the protagonists of two projects with which the City Council attends to the call for grants of the Rural Development Program of the Region 2014-2020 for actions not programmed in the Participatory Local Development Strategy Campoder Territory.
This is, on the one hand, the implementation of a fairground in Corvera and, on the other, the project of covering and improvement of children's areas in Jerónimo and Avileses, La Murta, Corvera, Sucina and Los Martínez del Puerto.
The first involves the creation of an infrastructure of tourist and economic interest in this environment, very close to the airport of the Region of Murcia.
For this, the City of Murcia has requested a grant to the Local Action Group Campoder, for the installation of a Venue of Festivals and Fairs in Corvera that will serve the Murcia districts of the Campo de Murcia.
This intervention, which has a term of execution of 9 months, seeks to create a differentiated and permanent space for the celebration of commercial and tourist revitalization actions, improving the leisure offer of the population and contributing to the promotion of the local economy through of the accomplishment of gastronomic samples, commercial fairs and the supervisory celebrations in an enclosure designed specifically for such purpose.
The site will have several different areas, among which are a multifunctional space for the realization of shows, an area dedicated to the attractions and events of commercial revitalization, and another to the associative activity for the performance of performances.
This project is the result of the collaboration that has been promoted over the last few years between the hotel, artisan and agri-food sectors in order to publicize the products and services offered by the Campo de Murcia, which has allowed the creation of the Association of Businessmen of the Field of Murcia and the accomplishment of diverse actions of promotion of the territory, between which is the Craft Fair and Agriculture or the Fair of Commerce.
Similarly, thanks to the implementation of this project, the patron saint festivities of Murcia, will have a greater projection to other municipalities, contributing to the dissemination and dissemination of the culture and ethnography of the Campo de Murcia.
The project has been designed taking into consideration the specific needs of a space of this type and therefore will have the latest innovations to ensure its sustainability and accessibility by the entire population.
In this sense, it contemplates a total adaptation not only of the enclosure, but also of the accesses, where the creation of practicable fords on the access roads and pavements has been contemplated, thus guaranteeing the accessibility of people with reduced mobility.
It will also have a self-supporting pergola equipped with photovoltaic panels to provide environmental lighting of the enclosure and a tree-plant barrier that will serve as an acoustic attenuator and the smartification of irrigation and lighting systems is contemplated.
Thus, it will be a small-scale infrastructure capable of responding to the leisure and free time neighborhood needs, at the same time as contributing to the value of the gastronomic and ethnographic resources of the territory and guaranteeing the social and environmental sustainability of the intervention.
El segundo proyecto que se presenta a la estrategia Territorio Campoder es la cubrición y mejora de zonas infantiles en pedanías del Campo de Murcia.
En concreto, se trata de la renovación de estos espacios en los jardines de la Calle Escuelas, de Jerónimo y Avileses;
de Casas de Debajo, de La Murta;
Aid amounting to 2.8 million euros
The grants, which are directed to actions not programmed in the Participatory Local Development Strategy Campoder Territory, amount to 2.8 million euros that will be distributed in successive calls until 2020.
The Program of Rural Development of the Region 2014-2020 in which it is framed aims to articulate actions, aid and investments to contribute to the maintenance and sustainable development of rural areas, among which are the districts of the Campo de Murcia.
Maintaining investment in these areas in order to strengthen the agricultural sector and its transformation industry, sustainable agriculture and forestry, and economic activities in the villages is the ultimate goal of the strategy.
