The Department of Modernization of the Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, directed by José Guillén, has closed the Floridablanca garden by the yellow alert by winds issued by the State Meteorological Agency, in order to guarantee the safety of Murcia.
The City Council maintains a wind alert device, made up of Local Police, Fire Brigade, and Street Cleaning services, Parks and Gardens and Industrial Services, which will remain active to act immediately in case of any unforeseen event.
In addition, the Local Police has made a series of recommendations in the face of wind storms:
- Close and secure doors, windows and awnings
- Remove pots and all those objects that may fall to the street
- Stay away from cornices, walls or trees and take precautions in front of buildings under construction or in poor condition
- Do not go through wooded parks or avenue
- Light poles and high voltage towers are very dangerous.
Avoid staying close to them
- Refrain from climbing scaffolds
- Avoid traveling by road and if necessary, extreme precautions
- Do not protect yourself from the wind in areas near mutros, mud walls or trees
- Respect the closed areas at all times for safety of pedestrians or vehicles
- Stay informed at all times of the evolution of the situation through radio and television
