Cambiemos Murcia has reported today that the illegal dump located between San Ginés and El Palmar, whose existence was denounced by this political formation last October, continues to receive large amounts of debris of all kinds and unauthorized waste.
Ginés Mirón, vocal of Cambiemos Murcia in San Ginés, has witnessed new discharges to the dump, to which many trucks access through a door from the new section of the Costera Sur that runs between El Palmar and Alcantarilla.
Mirón recalled that after the complaint of three months ago the responsible councilor announced that actions would be taken to end this illegality, but the truth is that "the trucks continue to make spills."
He explained that much of this waste comes from public works, such as remains of tiles, curbs or asphalt, so it is possible that some of the companies that are awarded works, both by the City Council and the municipal boards, "They end up throwing the waste in this type of unauthorized dumps."
This occurs despite the fact that "in their budgets these actions contemplate, or at least should contemplate, a debris collection rate in order to be deposited in authorized landfills".
Murcia change has warned of the possibility that it is a fraud to the municipal coffers, as some companies could be saving costs through this type of action.
"In some cases, it is the City Council itself that ends up cleaning lots full of rubble, so that in the end, the neighbors of Murcia end up paying twice for the removal of the same residue," said Mirón.
Faced with this situation, Cambiemos Murcia has asked both the City Council and the municipal councils for greater control over what happens with the debris generated by the municipal works, as well as enabling formulas to verify that these are effectively deposited in authorized landfills. it.
