Socialist councilor Sebastián Peñaranda reminds Jesús Pacheco that thanks to the Socialist Party and its intervention in the approval of the municipal accounts, the hiring grants granted during these years have been possible, although he points out that there is "a lot of work to be done" in a municipality with 33,000 unemployed
The Municipal Socialist Group has highlighted that it helps with almost half a million euros to 62 companies and self-employed to generate employment for 92 people without work in the municipality, something that has been possible thanks to the amendment to the budgets of 2016 and 2017 that presented the PSOE and at the same time highlighted the need to continue influencing the creation of employment in a municipality that currently has almost 33,000 people unemployed.
The Local Pact for Employment was created in the municipality at the request of a motion submitted to the Plenary by the PSOE at the beginning of 2016, being one of its first proposals in this term, and an amendment to the budgets enabled a game of half a million euros for hiring.
Thanks to the approach of the Murcian socialists "is put in value that those people who are unemployed are the main concern we have in the municipality," said the councilor of the PSOE Municipal Group, Sebastián Peñaranda.
And also thanks to the efforts of the PSOE there are a total of 62 companies and freelancers who can hire a total of 92 workers, something that has gone boasting the mayor of Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesus Pacheco, but without the socialist proposal none of this would have been possible.
"They are 500,000 euros transferred to promote employment in Murcia, either directly through their own programs or in collaboration with social partners, the social economy and autonomous workers' organizations," said Peñaranda.
Apart from these requests, there are another 18 that have been admitted but that have finally been left without help, "a situation that we do not understand how it is allowed when there is money to spend on this item".
"This and other issues such as the high number of unemployed and the fact of being the tenth municipality in the region that creates less employment disqualify the attitude of Councilman Pacheco to find headlines and take pictures." From the Socialist Group we will continue betting on expanding the measures of support to the generation of employment during this year 2018 to contribute to decrease the number of unemployed, "said Peñaranda.
