Socialist spokeswoman Susana Hernandez criticizes "a new breach of the PP with the neighbors of the neighborhood" after the mayor "boasted and made a photo more" saying that in March there would be a new nursery school and blames him to pay 13,000 euros to the successful bidder as compensation

The Municipal Socialist Group has lamented that "the mismanagement" of the Government Team of Mayor José Ballesta has led to the termination of the contract to build the Nuestra Señora de La Paz Children's School in this neighborhood of the city, which still leaves about 200 minors without facilities according to their needs and, by the way, makes the City lose more than 13,000 euros.

It is worth remembering that the old nursery was demolished in October 2007 and the classrooms were replaced by barracks that were assembled provisionally ten years ago.

Since then the deadlines have been extended without finding a solution to the problem despite the demands of parents and mothers of students and the opposition in the Consistory, with the PSOE at the head, who asked to disassociate this educational facility from the megaproject urbanistic promoted in his day by the entrepreneur Lopez Rejas and with the approval of the Murcian PP to rebuild the neighborhood.

The project seemed to see the light when on March 14, 2017 the Board of Government of the City Council awarded the work to the Temporary Union of Companies (UTE) formed by Construcciones y Desarrollos Tudmir SL and Advance and Development of Works SL with a budget of 798,850 , 32 euros - VAT included - and an expected execution period of one year from that date, so the work should be finished in two months.

Shortly thereafter, on 11 April, the safety and health coordinator was appointed as a step prior to the start of the works, but the time elapsed without certifying the verification act of the redefinition due to a lack of coordination of the municipal services.

Months later the legal services of the City Council have issued a report that reveals that there has been a delay in the verification of the redetermination for reasons attributable to the Administration and this makes it not possible for the winning company, the aforementioned UTE, to comply with the calendar and the deadlines set out in the list of administrative conditions, this being the cause of termination of the contract.

Taking into account the content of the reports of the nursery school service, the director of the work and the municipal legal services themselves, the concession contract of the UTE will be resolved, which, as compensation, will be entitled to an indemnity of 2% of the award price. , which is 13,204.14 euros.

The winning bidder will also receive the 33,010.34 euros that she contributed as collateral.

Mayor Ballesta, in the first debate of the State of the Municipality, held in September 2016, said that the La Paz nursery would finally be a reality with nine classrooms for children between 0 and 3 years built on a municipal plot of 2,653 square meters of surface in the avenue Juana Jugán.

Today, almost a year and a half after that unfulfilled promise on the part of the first mayor of this City Council, there is still no movement of land in the place where the nursery school would have to be built and, meanwhile, children continue to come every morning to prefabricated classrooms.

The spokesperson of the PSOE in the Consistory, Susana Hernandez, criticized that having spent so much time has not taken a step forward in this regard.

"We are faced with a new breach of the PP with the residents of the neighborhood of La Paz and children of their nursery school, who have been in barracks for 10 years." Ballesta boasted and another photo was taken saying that in March of this year there would be new daycare, but the poor coordination of the services of the City Council means that the neighbors still do not recover this facility and that, in addition, you have to pay 13,000 euros to the company without having done anything, "said the Socialist spokeswoman.
