Six facades of private or religious buildings will be rehabilitated in the coming months with the collaboration of the City of Murcia whose grants amount to 206,000 euros.
The Department of Urbanism, Environment and Garden, directed by Antonio Navarro Corchón, has proposed the resolution of the contest whose purpose is to promote the restoration of facades of traditional buildings of the garden, religious and civilians of private ownership and use, exterior religious buildings and of worship and other buildings of equipment for collective use.
On this basis, the buildings that are going to undergo rehabilitation with municipal contribution will be two churches-main facade of the Church of El Carmen, which is awarded € 52,603, and north side facade of the parish of Santa Eulalia, with 9,646 € - and four private buildings, one of them in Murcia, on Calle Joaquín Costa nº 14 -1.018 € - and three in districts: residential complex with hermitage in Finca La Peraleja, Sucina -104.231 € -, Casa Torre Masa in Carril Los Penchos de La Albatalía -13,214 € - and building in Calle Mayor nº1 of La Ñora -25,115 € -.
The object of the contest is to encourage the restoration of facades of interest, including the covering of the roof, when it is perceptible from the public road, excluding the structural elements that make it up.
