The Governing Board has given its approval to the specifications for contracting maintenance service of public lighting and low and medium voltage facilities of municipal ownership, which will invest a maximum of 17,296,973 euros for a period of three years, extendable for another three years.

The new benefits that are not included in the current contract is the electrical maintenance of buildings and municipal and public schools and measures to increase energy efficiency, replacing existing points with other LED technology, and reduce light pollution.

Likewise, the sheet requires greater specialization in the maintenance of ornamental lighting, which requires a specialist in lighting scenes programming, such as those offered by the building attached to the Town Hall, and in temporary facilities for events.

In this way, the contractor will have to maintain the electrical installations of public lighting, municipal premises, public schools, municipal transformation centers, and eventual activities promoted or sponsored by the City of Murcia and that are developed in the districts of the city or that, even developing outside the urban core of Murcia, present some singularity that justifies its execution.

Thus, the contractor will have to maintain the public lighting of roads, pedestrian areas and gardens, conduct inspections both day and night, keep the facilities, lighting, lines, supports and civil works, repair faults, damage or breakage, fix the damage suffered by the installations due to robberies, vandalism, force majeure or catastrophes beyond the facilities, cleaning and control of on and off, among other actions.

In addition, various permanent services will be established to deal with incidents throughout the 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which will enable the warnings received to be heard and brought to the attention of the guard team.

The awardee will have to have at least 2 Industrial Engineers or Industrial Technical Engineers, 4 administrative, in charge, in addition to the usual tasks of customer service, a computer technician, a computer operator, a design technical assistant or draftsman, 5 Foremen, a warehouse worker with a medium-level training cycle in electrical installations, 41 electrical officers and 4 masonry officers.

In addition, you must have 31 vehicles between trucks, vans and cars.
