The Department of Traffic and Public Safety has already prepared the project and specifications to build a parking deterrent on the surface next to the access ramp of Ronda Norte.
This will allow to offer almost 80 new parking spaces in the neighborhood of San Antón in the existing space between the old access of the A-30 motorway from Plaza de Castilla, in the city of Murcia, which fell into disuse when the new access ramp with tunnel execution.
The occupied surface amounts to 170 square meters that were ceded to the City Council by the State Roads Demarcation in June 2016.
In this way, a new parking area will be offered to residents of the area bounded by San Antón, Calle de las Norias, Calle Olof Palme and Calle Nueva de San Antón, and users of different public services such as FREMM, the Maestro José Castaño school or the Jesús y María school.
The new infrastructure has been raised with a central street of 5.50 meters wide and two lateral parking strips placed obliquely at an angle of 60 ° between the direction of entry and the alignment of the squares.
Each parking space will have dimensions of 2.50 by 4.50 meters.
This will allow the creation of 65 places for vehicles, three places for people with reduced mobility, placed in line, seven places for motorcycles and a bike park.
In addition, new points of light will be installed on the new sidewalk that will be built with low consumption LED lighting and 14 siloes will be created in which mulberry trees will be planted.
This new infrastructure can be used completely free of charge, although drivers will be able to give a voluntary donation to the Murcian Association of Parents and Children with Spina Bifida that will install a shelter in the parking lot in which volunteers will disclose and report on this disease and the activity that makes the association.
Drivers who wish may give a donation.
Although the schedule has not yet been finalized, the booth will be open on those days and times with the greatest influx of drivers.
The maximum price has been set at 250,000 euros and the deadline in six months.
