The Contracting Committee, chaired by the Councilor for Finance and Recruitment, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva and attended by representatives of municipal political groups, has proposed the award of the renovation of streets and roads in districts of Murcia.
Thus, the works, divided into four lots, will be carried out with a 45.44% decrease, since it was auctioned for 1,289,280 euros and will be contracted for 703,408 euros.
According to the proposal, the works of lots 1, 2 and 3 will be carried out by Serrano Aznar Obras Públicas, while those of lot 4 Bituminous Asphalts.
The improvement works will cost more than 1 million euros and will cover a total of 225 streets that have an overall length of 43,343 linear kilometers (324,055 square meters).
All the vials that are part of the project have been proposed and approved by the different municipal boards, prioritizing the asphalting of those that are in worse condition or are more used by neighbors.
The project includes road repair, road painting, resurfacing and paving of streets, which will eliminate potholes, peeling, deformation and other damage, thus improving road safety.
Coinciding with the beginning of the year, the damaged areas of the pavement will be repaired, then the cleaning and sweeping of the entire surface will be carried out, and finally, a rolling layer of varying thickness will be laid depending on the condition of the pavement.
According to the typology and the state of the street, a micro-agglomerate, hot asphalt mix or triple surface treatment will be carried out.
