The Department of Education contributes to the organization of these activities with the transfer of schools during the holidays.
Social Rights, which organizes the schools of El Carmen and San Andrés for children under 13 years of age, also maintains the offer of centers for reconciling family and work life.
Nearly one thousand students from 16 public schools, totaling 43 classrooms, participate in this holiday in 28 Christmas Schools organized by AMPAS and social services (2).
The activities began today and will continue throughout the holidays, until January 5, distributed in two, from December 26 to 29 and from January 2 to 5.
The schools take place in the morning hours in order to offer families who work a complementary educational service.
The Department of Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, directed by Rafael Gómez, contributes to the organization of these schools through the transfer of schools outside the school period.
For its part, the Department of Social Rights, whose owner is Conchita Ruiz, in addition to promoting two of these schools also maintains the offer of games and workshops for children under 16 in the network of conciliation centers.
In this way, the City Council facilitates the use of educational centers located in the same area or close to each other so that AMPAS or other groups organize and plan together activities during the holiday period, so that the centers of an area are used rotating way over the years.
This collaboration allows to optimize the necessary resources for the development of the activity (cleaning, surveillance, etc.) and a better organization in the maintenance tasks of the centers.
At the same time, in relation to the students, sharing the spaces makes it possible to promote relationships among equals, offers alternatives in the event that a center can not be used and, in addition, improves programming, since by increasing participation the profitability is higher.
Schools for children under 13 years promoted by Social Rights
In addition to these schools, Social Rights also promotes activities in the neighborhoods of Carmen and San Andrés for children between 3 and 12 years old, from today and until next Friday, which are added to those organized in holiday periods by the centers of reconciliation of work and family life of the municipality, with places for children up to 16 years.
In this way, the CEIP San Andrés and the City of Murcia receive children who enjoy Christmas with games and fun workshops given by monitors.
Meanwhile, work and family life conciliation centers provide infant school, play library, family respite in single days, care for children with disabilities and schools for mothers and fathers.
Thus, both the Integral Center for Childhood and Reconciliation of Work and Family Life of Juan Carlos I, dependent of the Department of Social Rights, as the conciliation centers of Bacons Bridge, Artillery Barracks, Cabezo de Torres, Churra, 'El Azahar 'from La Ă‘ora,' Los Granaos' from El Bojar-Beniaján, and EMPI from Santiago El Mayor, are open these days so that mothers and fathers who work have a resource to promote the reconciliation of family and work life.
For Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, "the conciliation centers are an important resource to avoid incompatibilities arise between working hours of parents and mothers with school hours and holidays of their children."
