The Department of Youth and Cooperation of the City of Murcia, which directs Rebeca Pérez, launched last September the Academic-Labor Guidance Service for young people of the municipality of Murcia in collaboration with the European Social Fund.
For this, he has the work of a psycho-pedagogue and an expert in career guidance.
A service that is provided in the facilities of the Informajo Center every Tuesday of the year from 17 to 19 hours and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., except from 1 to 31 of July, that the tuesdays are from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. and that has aroused great interest among young Murcia.
Since its opening last September, 20 days of attention have been held.
In this time 53 users have requested a first session in the service, of which forty attended to know the advantages of this free counseling space for young people.
Of the 40 users served, 26 were women (64%) and 14 were men (36%).
"We are talking about a service that tries to answer all doubts in academic matters, professional training, employment training, job counseling, job search techniques, development of personal skills and professional skills, internships in companies, professional opportunities or Youth Guarantee ", explained Rebeca Pérez.
"In addition to offering a personalized service, we work in groups, through workshops on different topics, such as: internet as a job search tool, online employment, work in the Public Administration, professional outings, etc. . "
The actions developed with the users served have been registration in the national system of youth guarantee (18 sessions), academic guidance (9 meetings) and career guidance, both intermediation, in 26 cases, and the improvement of employability , in 21 actions.
During the intermediation actions are developed measures that contribute to the improvement of the activation of the job seeker through actions of professional guidance, job information and accompaniment in the search for employment, mobility programs - Eures, European Volunteering - and education intermediation programs -employment, or any others of a similar nature.
On the other hand, in actions to improve access to employability, information and guidance actions are developed with respect to competency training (Itinerary competences), training especially in languages ​​and information and communication technologies, practices not in companies, training for obtaining certificates of professionalism and mixed employment-training programs.
