It should also be noted that this collaboration will be expanded with the creation of a Chair through which to channel the research carried out.
The agreement has been signed by José Luis Mendoza and Eduardo Hornos, presidents of the UCAM and the PRACTICUM Foundation.
Decision making
The Chair will focus on advanced medical education, that is, on medicine based on the complexity of the human being, one in which the patient is understood not only as a body, but also as a conscience, a habitat, a social context -economic that surrounds it, "and consequently each patient has a uniqueness, and in front of this, the formation of medical criteria at the time of making a clinical decision has an extraordinary relevance," said Eduardo Hornos.
In addition, Hornos has announced that the UCAM together with the Universities of Laval and Montreal (Canada), the University of Illinois (Chicago), the University of Maastricht and the Institute that coordinates it- are investigating the mental phenomena that come into play at the moment the one that human beings make decisions, "and precisely what we are applying to clinical decision making".
