The Plenary Session of the City Council of Murcia approved in its session today, with the vote against the PP, the motion of urgency presented by the political formations of the opposition in which the incorporation of the Statistical Service workers was requested, dismissed by the City Council, after the courts confirmed the cession of illegal of them.
The mayor who has defended the motion by the municipal group of Change Murcia, Sergio Ramos, has indicated that this situation, which also affects other services such as the Ramón Gaya Museum, is the result of the outsourcing model that the Popular Party has bet on , characterized by the worsening of working conditions.
"The courts have shown that this model is in many cases irregular," Ramos said, after insisting that the City Council "can not continue to be a source of precariousness or mistreating employees employed by outsourced services."
Opposition groups have also managed to get the public service maintenance contract specifications approved tomorrow and give one more week to find a way to get workers subrogated, "many of them over 20 years old. of experience and extensive knowledge ".
Ramos has argued that there are legal formulas to maintain employment, which in this case "is the best way to ensure the public interest and quality of service."
Lasmociones presented alone by Cambiemos Murcia have also been approved.
In one of them, defended by the councilor Margarita Guerrero, it was requested that, together with the Local Trade Council, an annual report be made to know the impact that the liberalization of schedules has on the small trade, reviled by the politics of the PP, more favorable to large commercial areas.
The other of the motions of Guerrero raised the need for the City Council, within the framework of the campaign "My city takes care of my hormones" promoted by the Alborada Foundation, which manages the Chair of Pathology and Environment of the Faculty of Medicine of the University Complutense de Madrid, adopt measures to reduce the exposure of the population to endocrine disruptors, a series of substances that could be related to metabolic, neurological and immunological problems.
Councilman Nacho Tornel has filed two motions with the PSOE;
one for the inclusion of Ronda Sur municipal housing in the Municipal Program for the promotion of housing access for rent and the other for the José María Párraga school in El Palmar to recover the spaces that El Lugarico school currently occupies once it has moved.
In addition, the proposal of Sergio Ramos for the development of a protocol for the treatment of prunings remains in the agricultural lands of the garden and its use as a compost, thus avoiding burning in the garden of Murcia.
