The Municipal Socialist Group today chaired the first Special Commission of Suggestions and Claims of the City of Murcia, whose main objective is to resolve with agility all the claims of the residents of the municipality and that this work serves to evaluate the functioning of municipal services.
The Commission, chaired by the socialist councilor Enrique Ayuso, approved this morning the creation of a Municipal Office of Suggestions and Complaints, which aims to centralize all complaints from neighbors, as, according to Ayuso, "one of the deficiencies that we must correct is the dispersion of claims by the different municipal areas since the Citizen Information and Telephone Attention service, collects a good number of complaints and suggestions (through the registration of the 010 or the TuMurcia application), but not the totality because many appear directly in the affected councils ".
Similarly, "the answers given are not exactly known either, since the resolution of them is not always communicated to the Information Service, so we are facing a situation that could be improved".
Therefore, the Office "can be the instrument that concentrates the complaints and suggestions received and refer them to the corresponding services, follow the resolution of them, respond to citizens about their demands and report promptly to the Commission on the general state from the same".
For the socialist councilor, the Commission "must be the last instance to which the citizen has the right to appeal to their claims with this City Council after having exhausted all the previous stages and, in addition, this must report to the Plenary Session of the City Council through an annual report. "
The Special Commission of Suggestions and Claims of the City of Murcia is the first presided over by the Municipal Socialist Group for 22 years and its implementation was one of the conditions of the municipal PSOE during the negotiation with the Government team of the 2017 Budget.
