The Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Monsignor José Manuel Lorca Planes, delivered this afternoon at the UCAM the Advent and Christmas Proclamation of the teaching institution in which he focused on the Virgin Mary, "a figure of Sacred Scripture, of the history of salvation, which has stood out more in doing the will of God, in living it with passion and entering totally into the mystery of God. "
Likewise, Lorca Planes has assured that in this time of Advent "fundamentally what is at issue is that all Christians have their ears set on God, and listen to what is their will", and has encouraged society to give the step to be witnesses of the Good News.
The event was attended by José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, who has been accompanied by members of the Foundation and the university community.
Mendoza stressed that it is a memorable time for all Christians, and has shown his desire to continue working on behalf of the poorest, needy and sick.
"Let there be peace and joy in all families," he stressed.
After the celebration of the proclamation was passed to the blessing of the Nativity scene installed in the cloister of the Monastery of Los Jerónimos by the bishop.
In addition, the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, congratulated the hundreds of members of the university community present, the Christmas holidays.
Around the nativity scene several popular Christmas carols were sung with which these acts were closed due to the close celebration of the Christmas holidays.
