Installation of television cameras and money changes will give traffic flow in El Carmen, San Pío and Santiago El Mayor (15/12/2017)

The works, which will end next spring, have been awarded today by the Governing Board and are intended to improve circulation in the environment while the burial of the roads is being executed.

The reorganization foresees 10 differentiated actions, which include the installation of new regulation elements and a closed circuit television for the correct management of any incident or traffic problem immediately.

The works of traffic management in Murcia due to the underground railway, whose purpose is to improve traffic flow in the environment, have been awarded today by the Governing Board and will be completed in spring.

The measures adopted will centralize the entire area to better manage traffic from traffic control room and new movements that improve the circulation of the environment affected by the works, such as the departure from Miguel Ángel Blanco to Ronda Sur and direct entry to street moreras, improving the mobility of the neighborhoods of the south of the roads.

For this, the municipal technicians have made an exhaustive analysis of the real situation and the prognosis of traffic that will involve such deviations.

On this basis, a series of measures will be implemented immediately, which entails actions for the installation of new elements for traffic regulation and centralization in the current Traffic Control Room of various crossings regulated by traffic lights in said roads in order that the traffic management (surveillance, control and regulation) is carried out quickly and efficiently and in conditions of maximum security.

The global project foresees the execution of 10 differentiated actions, which include the installation of new regulation and centralization elements in the Traffic Control Room and modifications of routes in different environmental routes.

In summary, these interventions, which have a budget of € 241,894, are specified in 6 measures:

Centralization of the road axis that goes from the Plaza Ingeniero Juan de la Cierva to Ronda Sur

Installation of closed circuit television in the cited axis for the correct management of traffic directly

Centralization of the intersection between Pío XII and Huerto streets, which allows regulation on demand

Enable traffic signal turn right from Ronda Sur to Calle Morera

Improvement of the exit of the neighborhoods of Santiago El Mayor and San Pío towards Ronda Sur, enabling a turn signalized at the intersection of Ronda Sur with Miguel Ángel Blanco

Speed ​​up the departure of Pintor Almela Costa to Ronda Sur, turning the roundabout into phases

In this way, the project contemplates the realization of a series of the following actions:

1)

CRUCE DE CALLE JUAN ANTONIO PEREA CON PLAZA INGENIERO JUAN DE LA CIERVA.

Mejora de la fluidez del tráfico de entrada/salida con Plaza Ingeniero Juan de la Cierva, mediante la instalación de espiras para control de vehículos, sincronización y centralización de las instalaciones semafóricas existentes.

CROSSING STREET INDUSTRY AND PEDRO PEDRO FLORES WITH PASEO MARQUÉS DE CORVERA.

Improvement of traffic management in said crossing through the installation of cameras (CCTV) for the transmission of images in real time that allows an overview of traffic in the area, facilitating management and decision making in real time;

Likewise, the installation of turns that allow synchronization and centralization of the traffic light installations that regulate the movements of the crossing is made.

PASO DE PEATONES EN PINTOR PEDRO FLORES FRENTE COLEGIO PÚBLICO CIUDAD DE MURCIA.

Mejora de fluidez del tránsito rodado y peatonal mediante la sincronización y centralización en la Sala de Control de Tráfico del paso de peatones existente.

CROSSING TORRE DE ROMO WITH PEDRO PEDRO FLORES.

Improved traffic and pedestrian traffic, which will allow both left and right turn from Torre de Romo, southbound, favoring the exit by Pintor Almela Costa to Ronda Sur.

Likewise, a new pedestrian crossing is created that complements the existing installation, giving it greater pedestrian permeability.

In addition, traffic management is improved through synchronization and centralization of new and existing traffic lights, and the installation of cameras (CCTV) for the transmission of images in real time to provide an overview of traffic in the area, facilitating the management and instant decision making.

CRUCE EN ROTONDA DE AVDA.

PÃO BAROJA CON PINTOR ALMELA COSTA Y PINTOR SAURA PACHECO.

Mejora de la gestión del tráfico en dicha rotonda mediante la instalación de cámaras (CCTV) para la transmisión de imágenes en tiempo real que permita una visión general del tráfico de la zona, facilitando la gestión y toma de decisiones en tiempo real, permitiendo sincronización y centralización de las instalaciones semafóricas que regulan los movimientos del cruce, para mejorar la fluidez de salida hacia Ronda Sur.

CRUCE PAINTER ALMELA COAST WITH LEMON STREET.

Improvement of traffic management in the roundabout through the installation of turns for vehicle control, synchronization and centralization of existing traffic lights.

7)

CRUCE DE PIO XII CON RONDA SUR.

INTERSECCIÓN CON CARRETERA DE ALGEZARES, HUERTO ALIX Y CALLE MORERA.

Mejora de la gestión del tráfico dotando de mayor fluidez a los movimientos permitidos mediante la sincronización y centralización de las instalaciones semafóricas existentes.

Esto permitirá dar fluidez a la salida de Pio XII hacia Ronda Sur, sin perjudicar los movimientos de giro que se producen de los que acceden desde Ctra. De Algezares hacia Ronda Sur, al poder ser gestionados desde la Sala de Control de Tráfico.

Igualmente, se plantea una mejora de acceso directo desde Ronda Sur hacia Calle Morera, mediante el giro directo a derecha desde Ronda Sur, con lo que se minimiza el número de vehículos que esperan en el giro anteriormente indicado (ya que no tienen que hacer el giro por la media luna de la intersección),

CROSS PIO XII WITH GARDEN STREET.

Improvement of traffic management through the synchronization and centralization of the traffic light installation that regulates the exit from Calle Huerto to Pío XII, in order to manage the exit to Ronda Sur from the Traffic Control Room, as indicated in the previous action.

It complements the management proposed in Action 7.

9)

CRUCE RONDA SUR CON MIGUEL ANGEL BLANCO.

Mejora de la fluidez del tráfico de la zona de los barrios de Santiago el Mayor y San Pío X, mediante la generación de una salida semaforizada a Ronda Sur que permite incorporación a derecha con mayor seguridad y habilitar el giro a izquierda, creando una alternativa de tránsito a los residentes y usuarios de la zona.

10)

CROSS ROUND SOUTH WITH PAINTER ALMELA COSTA.

Improvement of traffic management by incorporating a new traffic light installation at the roundabout that improves the fluidity in the incorporation from Pintor Almela Costa to the Rotunda and the movements with Ronda Sur, Avda. De los Dolores and Primero de Mayo.

In summary, they are works for the installation and modification of equipment on public roads and in the Control Room, which will range from the installation of the conduits and the corresponding electrical wiring, through the installation and modification of staffs, columns, traffic lights and cameras, besides the installation and modification of regulators and other street equipment.

Likewise, these actions involve software and hardware work to synchronize and centralize the traffic light crossings, which will include necessary actions in the traffic controllers, in the zone centrals and in the Traffic Control Room itself.

The works will be carried out by Emurtel SA, with an investment of 169,302 euros and with a term of execution of three months.

The project has been prepared by the Traffic Service, based on the information that ADIF has provided on the development of the works for the execution of the works called New High Speed ​​Rail Access of Levante Madrid-Castilla La Mancha - Comunidad Valenciana - Region of Murcia, section: Access to Murcia and Permeabilization of the Railway Layout.
