The Governing Board has approved the award of two contracts that will involve an investment of 1.9 million euros and will improve road safety in Murcia and districts: the maintenance service, conservation and new installation of horizontal and vertical signaling in the municipal term of Murcia, and the supply of materials for signaling and beaconing in Murcia and its districts.
The works will consist of the installation of traffic lights and the extension of pedestrian crossings proposed by the Traffic Service technicians, municipal boards, as well as by individuals.
They will be developed in integrated areas in the road network of the urban area where it is necessary to make compatible with pedestrians, adopting surveillance, control and traffic regulation measures that improve road safety and mobility.
Likewise, the installation, replacement, maintenance and conservation of the marking and vertical and horizontal signaling equipment will be carried out, both necessary to undertake new actions and rearrangements of new implementation that take place throughout the municipality, as well as for the correct maintenance of the same, that due to multiple acts vandalism, accidents and others, it is necessary to replace or repair daily.

The service of maintenance, conservation and new installation of horizontal and vertical signaling has been awarded to the UTE Api Movilidad-Imesapi SA, with an amount of 1,479,600 euros for two years, while the supply of materials for signaling and beaconing of The business will be carried out by the Api Movilidad company, with an investment of 480,000 euros over two years.
