The Catholic University of Murcia and the company Estrella de Levante have signed an agreement for the creation of the 'University Chair of Sustainability and Healthy Leisure Estrella de Levante UCAM'.
At the birth of the chair, the general director of the popular beer brand, Patricio Valverde, has assured that "we are the first company in Europe to certify the water footprint and now we are working with Estrella Núñez, vice chancellor of Research of the UCAM, so that we get the circular economy in our environment and that future generations remember that this university and Estrella de Levante were concerned about the ecosystem. "
For its part, Estrella Núñez said that "it is a pride to be part of this project and we want to see the strengthening of the UCAM in the university-business relationship, not only in research, but in social responsibility."
In the area of ​​the chair will also develop lines of research in nutrition, gastronomy and tourism and process innovation.
This project will establish a more stable and lasting collaboration between the UCAM and Estrella de Levante for the development of joint research activities and technology transfer activities to the productive sector.
