The City of Murcia has reopened a file to Ferrovial Services for failing to comply with the specifications of the school cleaning contract, which is in addition to the one filed last year for not carrying out the extraordinary cleaning of summer in 44 schools .
After the complaint of Change Murcia and the motion presented to the City Council last November, which called for the establishment of a working group to verify compliance with the specifications, the Consistory Education service has begun the process of opening Ferrovial file having detected numerous breaches of the contract.
As reported by Councilman Sergio Ramos, who attended the meeting with Councilwoman Margarita Guerrero, "the file can lead to very heavy fines after having detected the education service of the City Council that is not performing cleaning tasks in 44 schools correctly municipal public. "
The municipal training already denounced that Ferrovial is not respecting the maximum number of square meters that each worker must have assigned.
"In some cases, where there were two people cleaning up in a school, after the cuts made by Ferrovial now there is only one," said Ramos.
The mayor has indicated that he hopes that the sanctions serve so that Ferrovial complies with the cleaning service "in all its extremes", and especially that it respects the working conditions of its workers.
In addition, it has shown concern that the system of outsourcing services by the City does not allow it to control the quality of them.
"This City Council lacks sufficient personnel to control the winning companies that have hundreds of workers," concluded Ramos.
